The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s National Control Center, Vuda and will report to the Switching Coordinator (West).
Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare switching programs to enable maintenance work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures at minimum costs and interruption.

- Carry out analysis for release of Distribution network and generators.

- Prepare and monitor annual maintenance plans for all generation and Network assets.

- Prepare commissioning programs for all Generation, Network and Communication elements.

- Audit Permit to work, Permit to Test, Reclose block permits and Vegetation permits.

- Maintain maintenance performance and generate reports

- Should be prepared to undertake other studies in order to maintain Knowledge of current practices in System Control.

- Prepare and generate Breakdown of HV Supply reports.

- Carryout other duties as assigned by Switching Co-coordinator.

- Analyze Breakdown of HV supply BOS reports, calculate, allocate and generate reports for verification from appropriate SBA’s.
Key Requirements:

- A Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution with at least four (4) years of relevant industrial experience.

- Good knowledge on Generation Planning Tool (GPT) Software.

- Must be proficient in English and able to prepare technical reports.

- Must have a thorough operational knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution and its associate protection control equipment and SCADA.

- Know and live EFL values with good communication, Inter personal and problem solving skills.

- Should be prepared to undertake other studies /training on order to improve skills and knowledge of Generation Dispatch.

- Computer literate - Software skills especially in Microsoft Word, Excel and ACCESS essential.

- Must be a self- starter and work under minimum supervision.

- Should possess a valid full group 2 (manual) Driving License.
