An immediate vacancy for the above position exists within the Maintenance Site Services Section of the Fix Plant and infrastructure Department reporting to the Foreman – Site Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the work activities of the department are being properly performed in the field and required to carry out Maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• High level of understanding of relevant plumbing standards
• Water testing and sampling experience
• Maintain a high level of health and safety awareness and comply with the Barrick Porgera Occupational Health & Safety Policy and all health and safety rules and procedures
• Intermediate experience in Word, Excel and Oracle
• Ensure all environment and safety standards are executed in accordance with NPL policies
• Must be able to manage people working in stressful environments
• Maintain a high level of health, safety and environmental awareness and comply with all relevant PJV policies & procedures

The ideal candidate must possess:

• Have at less 5 years supervisory experience in plumbing trade, construction & mining
• Have Leadership qualities and demonstrate experience in managing teams
• Be able to read and write English at an Upper Secondary School standard
• Have a high level of honesty and integrity and willingness to accept ownership of tasks assigned
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels
• Certificates of qualifications for plumbing
• Have a high level of problem solving skills
• Be able to work in a multi-cultural environment within the Site Services and across site
