Exciting opportunity to join the team at Barefoot Collection's! We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Engineer to lead and manage our Engineering team at Barefoot Kuata Island Resort in Yasawas Islands
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee overall maintenance operations at the resort
- Manage the continuous, reliable operation, maintenance and servicing of resorts desal power generator plants
- Ensure the optimal function, maintenance, and chemical management of the desalination and water purification plant to provide a consistent, high-quality water supply
- Maintain and repair the resort's fleet of outboard motors and marine-related equipment to ensure the safety and reliability of all guest and operations vessels
- Supervise, train, and manage the engineering and maintenance team, delegating tasks and managing work schedules
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and tools, and assist the General Manager with the departmental budget, ensuring cost control
- Ensure all engineering operations comply with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of [5+] years of experience in a senior engineering or chief engineer role, preferably within a remote resort or similar environment
- Proven hands-on expertise with diesel power generation systems, marine outboard motors, and water desalination plants
- Relevant engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or Marine Engineering degree/diploma preferred)
- Ability to work independently, make critical decisions under pressure, and manage remote supply logistics
Final Note
This will be an island-based position with accommodation and meals will be provided while on site and on duty at the resort.
