Reporting to the Manager Financial Control, the successful incumbent manages the delivery of high-quality financial reports in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards, and applicable laws and regulations in all countries that we are registered and operate within, while ensuring a sound internal control environment, and the governance of activities up to and including managing of the trial balance.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the Statement of the Financial Position of the Group and Company; ensuring accounting entries are recorded correctly in the financial system in accordance with the applicable accounting standards.
• Monitor and report on the monthly statement of financial position.
• Lead all external audit processes, including liaising with the auditors and ensuring all required information are provided in a timely manner.
• Prepare Group and Company financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and the relevant Companies Act.
• Provide accounting advice on complex business issues/transactions that complies with the accounting standards
• Develop and document finance processes and accounting policies to maintain quality over financial reporting.
• Support in monitoring compliance of financial and non-financial covenants with external stakeholders.
• Review and analyze key accounting and financial controls in practice and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Assist with compliance and controls matters for the Group and the Company.
• Assist the Manager Financial Control in various special projects.
• Completion of ad hoc projects and reports required by direct report, CFO, Heads of Departments and the Executive Management.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• Fully qualified accountants or in training for completion of CA or CPA.
• At least three years of experience with either a recognized firm of accountants or a reputable local or international business.
• Strong technical skills and external audit experience.
• Skilled in MS Excel and experience of EPICOR would be advantageous.

• Team player and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, be challenging and resilient, whilst maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive can-do attitude.

• Excellent analytical and presentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
