The Role - Senior Developer
We are looking for a skilled Senior Developer to lead our web development efforts and enhance or digital platforms. If you are a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual aspiring for a long-term career in a growing organization then we would like to help you in your career:
Key Responsibilities
- Define site objectives by analyzing user requirements, envisioning system features and functionality.
- Design and develop user interfaces to Internet/intranet websites by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; determining design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software products.
- Designing and conducting tests on the website and identify any technical problems.
- Conduct necessary configuration of hosting environment and deploying of website.
- Support users by developing documentation, assistance tools and conducting training.
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Responsible for patching and maintaining outdated websites and packages to safeguard the websites from malicious activity.
- Performing websites changes as requested by company clients.
- Carrying out changes to company intranet sites.
- Supporting and carrying changes to company learning department Moodle site.
- Carryout periodic backup of databases.
- Supporting over 40 sites, a Moodle site and a WordPress site.
Knowledge & Experience
- Proven experience of performing all technical aspects of a front-end build and backend.
- Experience and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and timely manner to meet the due dates for ministries website projects.
- Proven experience of building responsive websites.
- Knowledge with Web Services (IIS, Apache) and Linux Server commends.
- Highly proficient in building websites using front-end languages, backend programming languages and frameworks such as WordPress, HTML5, CSS, Vue.js, React.js, JavaScript, Laravel livewire, Laravel volt, nuxt.js, next.js, jQuery, bootstrap, tailwind, PHP, C# and MVC based frameworks.
- Knowledge of SQL database required for managing website databases and for running commands to generate data or reports in presentable format.
- Advance knowledge of Moodle.
- Knowledge of using Adobe software such as Photoshop or Illustrator
- Strong grasp of security principles and how they apply to websites.
- Knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards.
- Proficient in Git.
