Rotables Officer - MRO
We are pleased to announce an open vacancy now exists in our Engineering Department (MRO) for a qualified and experienced Rotables Officer.
Based in Port Moresby, this position will report to Purchasing Supervisor.
The Rotables Officer will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
Liaise with CAMG (Continuous Airworthiness Management Group) to remove unserviceable components from the computer system in order to raise repair orders
The registering of components or unserviceable items in the three (3) registers, Outward Goods Register / Scrap Register/ Beyond Economical Repair and Dispatch Quarantine Register
In – charge of process and scrap procedure
In- charge of process and procedure for the Outward Quarantine items
In-charge of all repair orders
In-charge of quotations for items put at repair facility and working with GM-MRO to ensure these quotes are signed and returned back to the Vendors on timely manner
Ensure all items dispatched are followed up on and returned back to PNG Air facility on timely manner
Ensure weekly Rotables report is projected and disseminated to all concerned managers in MRO
Ensure monthly reports projected for all Rotables out at Repair facility and update management turnaround status for the components.
Compile monthly reports on the Rotables movement status and vendor performance status to MRO Management
Provide monthly reports to Finance Department the Beyond Economical Repair status for the month
To be considered, you must have the relevant qualifications with previous experience in a similar role including having the following key attributes:
3-5 Years ‘working experiences in similar roles
Knowledge of aircraft components
Aviation experience; and experience with IAS (Integrated Aviation Software) & RAAS (Aviation Maintenance Software)
Proficient with MS Office software (MS Word, MS Excel).
Extensive knowledge in computer inventory systems.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Must have the necessary skills /knowledge of line/hangar aircraft maintenance and planning
Must be able to cross train junior staff and pay attention to detail
Should have training or experience within Aviation Industry or within similar work environment.
Display a sound understanding of corporate business objectives and plans including computerized systems used in aviation industry and or similar work environments.
