 Tokatoka Resort invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals for the following-mentioned position.

RESERVATION MANAGER

This challenging role & exciting position requires a dedicated individual with initiative and self-motivation and a very pro-active attitude. The successful candidate will report directly to the General Manager. Interested candidates for the above position must have 2-3 years’ experience in a similar position in a hotel or resort and must have the following attributes:

RESERVATION MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Must be well versed with Reservation Procedure.
  • Handling of correspondences.
  • Allocate daily tasks to Reservations staff.
  • Review reservations booked daily.
  • Review arrival report daily.
  • Responsible for the preparation of occupancy forecast.
  • Responsible for training staff.
  • Responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for recording Company/Travel Agent Rates both in the system and correspondence  file.
  • Liaise with the Sales in regard to occupancy, Rates Reservation analysis.
  • Identify Producing Accounts to ensure proper recognition by Reservation staff.
  • Knowledgeable in hotel and guest room facilities/services and ensures reservations agents are equally knowledgeable.
  • Monitoring Telephone manners and general performance of reservations staff daily and maintained at all times
  • Ensure special handling of repeat guests and very VIP guests.
  • Monitors and coordinates group reservations activity with the Sales Department and Revenue Manager
  • Follows up on tentative bookings and updates reservation status
  • Reviews no-show and cancelled reservations and processes charges according to the hotel’s policy
  • Review room blocking for Long Stay. Suites and special group requests.
  • Supervising Group Reservations.
  • Maintain cordial relations with commercial clients.
  • Bring to the attention Front Office Manager when the hotel availability status is changed and prepare for necessary action.
  • Responsible for work schedule
  • Responsible for maintaining a Neat and Orderly position at all times.
  • In general, perform any other duties that might requested by the Front Office Manager or General Manager.

 Experience and Education: 

Graduation from an accredited college or university in an appropriate curriculum and considerable experience related to this class of work including some supervisory experience, or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
