Quality Assurance Materials Inspector
The Quality Assurance Materials Inspector (QAMI) manages incoming goods inspections, Technical Materials - Warehouse compliance, and related administrative tasks. The QAMI will also be responsible to prepare audit reports, ensure adherence to Company procedures, and verify that all aircraft parts are received from approved suppliers with approved documentation.
This role reports to the Manager Aircraft Materials & Logistics.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Conducts periodic Warehouse inspections and ensures that parts are stored correctly.
- Monitors Technical Stores facilities per Engineering Technical Operating Procedures and reports deviations or deficiencies.
- Ensures all aircraft components, materials, and spares are sourced from approved suppliers with valid documentation
- Verifies compliance with modification status, technical specifications, and contractor approvals for received components.
- Conducts physical checks on incoming parts for damage or discrepancies and ensures proper storage and documentation.
- Maintains records of stock orders, receipts, and releases in AMOS, ensuring secure storage of release records.
- Tracks shelf-life expiry, generating alerts and coordinating with Aircraft Planning Engineers for timely actions.
- Liaises with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely availability of maintenance spares and defect clearance.
- Reports airworthiness concerns, defective parts, and quality issues to appropriate managers.
- Utilizes AMOS for inventory receiving processes and ensures aircraft parts are stored correctly.
- Effectively communicates with Technical Materials staff and relevant stakeholders on the releasing of critical components in AMOS.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager Aircraft Materials & Logistics.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering or any other technical field.
- Dangerous Goods Certification Approval will be an advantage.
- Valid Group 2 Driver's License.
- Knowledge of Quality Systems and Materials Inspection processes.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Logistics and Warehouse environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with inventory management ERP systems.
