Your day to day

The Public Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of all public areas within the property, including lobbies, restrooms, corridors, and back-of-house areas. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction, while supervising and supporting the public area attendants.

  • Supervise daily cleaning operations of all public areas to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Assign tasks to public area attendants and monitor their performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of public spaces and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet hotel standards.
  • Ensure the availability and proper use of cleaning materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues or repair needs to the Engineering or Maintenance team.
  • Train, guide, and motivate team members to meet performance and quality expectations.
  • Maintain records of daily work, attendance, and cleaning checklists.
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Front Office, Engineering) to meet guest needs and ensure smooth operations.
  • Enforce health, safety, and hygiene standards in all assigned areas.
  • Handle guest inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.

What we need from you

  • High school diploma or equivalent, vocational training housekeeping is an advantage.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemical handling.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
