Procurement Specialist

Fiji Airways seeks to recruit an experienced individual to be part of our growing Strategic Sourcing department as a Procurement Specialist. The successful incumbent will lead and support the development and growth of strategic sourcing plans within key spend areas delivering the core requirements on quality, delivery, and cost in alignment with stakeholders / leadership.

Reporting to the Manager Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Specialists are responsible for overseeing and improving the supply chain operations of the business. They source, analyse and report supply chain data, track costs and logistics, and evaluate supplier performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manages and drives competitive sourcing processes, RFPs, supplier selection, and contract processes.
• Leads, manages, coordinates and undertakes clarification and commercial/legal negotiation with contractors and service providers.
• Deliver cost savings/avoidance by leading the end-to-end sourcing process.
• Establishes, builds and manages effective relationships with internal and external business partners to strategy development and drive productivity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Leads and contributes to future engineering, change plan, automation and implementation of the Strategic Sourcing function.
• Manages multiple sourcing projects and deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of a Degree in Business or Finance or an associated discipline.
• To hold CIPS Qualification would be an added advantage.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in public or private sector procurement.
• Team player and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, be challenging and resilient, whilst maintaining independence and objectivity.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a positive can do attitude.
• Good organizational and problem solving skills with the ability to work on own initiative with energy, drive and commitment to deliver high quality results to tight timescales.
• Excellent analytical and presentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Drives customer service and continuous improvement.
