Porter
VOMO Island Resort is seeking an enthusiastic, professional, and service-oriented Porter to join our Front Office team. As one of the first and last team members our guests interact with, you will play a vital role in creating memorable arrival and departure experiences while delivering the warm, genuine hospitality that VOMO is renowned for.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly attitude.
- Assist guests with luggage during arrivals, departures, and room changes.
- Escort guests to their villas while providing an overview of resort facilities and services.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and enquiries.
- Coordinate guest transportation, buggy transfers, and boat arrivals/departures.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the reception, lobby, and arrival areas.
- Store and handle guest luggage safely and securely.
- Communicate effectively with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
- Provide guests with accurate information about resort activities, dining options, and local attractions.
- Follow all health, safety, and security procedures while maintaining the highest service standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Physically fit and able to lift and transport luggage safely.
- Strong customer services focus with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- A valid Group 2 driver's licence is an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced luxury resort environment.
