Our People and Culture team is growing! We're looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented People & Culture Officer with a specialization in Remuneration and Benefits to join us in Port Moresby.

The P&C Officer (Talent Acquisition) will be responsible for managing and overseeing the recruitment process. This includes sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates for various roles, with an emphasis on finding top-tier talent to align with the company's goals and culture. The position will involve working closely with Business Partners to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies. The role is based in Port Moresby.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment Strategy:

Execute recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Tailor approaches based on the Credit Corporation’s immediate needs and long-term hiring goals.

  • Candidate Sourcing:

Utilise various platforms (job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, etc.) to source active and passive candidates.

  • Job Postings:

Write and post detailed, accurate job adverts and specifications across multiple channels.

  • Screening & Interviewing:

Review CVs, conduct initial screening, and interview candidates. Use behavioural and competency-based interview techniques to assess applicants' skills, qualifications, and cultural fit.

  • Hiring Process Management:

Coordinate all stages of the hiring process, including reference checks, negotiating job offers, and ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.

  • Collaboration:

Work closely with BPs & hiring managers to ensure alignment on job requirements and applicant profiles.

  • Applicant Experience:

Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, providing feedback and maintaining communication from application to hire.

  • Talent Pool Development:

Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified applicants for current and future job openings.

  • Employer Branding:

Promote Credit Corporation as an employer of choice by showcasing its values, culture, and benefits to potential applicants.

  • Compliance & Reporting:

Ensure recruitment practices are compliant with legal and regulatory standards. Track and report on recruitment metrics and the effectiveness of various sourcing methods.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Stay current on recruitment trends and best practices, continuously optimizing the hiring process for efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Other duties as directed by the Head of People & Culture and Talent Acquisition Manager.

 

Education & Experience

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • HR certifications (e.g., PNGHRI) is an advantage.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience.
  • Strong background in the talent acquisition space.

  • Knowledge of current HR trends, employment laws and best practices.
