As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will provide leadership in human resources management, technology, travel, fleet, risk, safety and security, including wellbeing support to the Country Program. Where you come in:

In this full-time maximum term position based in Port Moresby, you will work on leading development of organisational culture and staff engagements, provide effective human resources management, administration, informational technology, travel, fleet, risk, safety and security, including wellbeing support to the Country Program. You will be part of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and report to our Country Director.

 

You will make an impact by:

  • Providing quality advice on all HR-related issues to the SMT and individuals, to ensure program expectations and goals are achieved.
  • Developing and maintaining employment-related policies and procedures and ensuring their consistent application across the organisation.
  • Ensuring an appropriate efficient and consistent level of customer services id delivered across to all staff.
  • Ensuring SCPNG is compliant with all statutory obligations.
  • Overseeing in-country recruitment and general HR plans with each project to ensure timely delivery to project implementation.
  • Overseeing and managing IT, administration, safety, security and risk functions to support project delivery.

This role requires:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or relevant field.
  • 5 – 7 years work experience in HR, People and Culture or related field.
  • More than 3 years in HR or Operations Manager role.
  • Demonstrated use of positive coping strategies in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to effectively establish a learning culture within an organisation
