Operations Manager – Te Vara Nui & Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas
Location: Rarotonga, Cook Islands

We are seeking a high-calibre Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of two of Rarotonga’s most iconic hospitality businesses:
- Te Vara Nui Village – the Cook Islands’ premier cultural entertainment and dining experience.
- Crystal Blue Lagoon Villas – luxury beachfront villa accommodation in the heart of Muri.
This is a leadership role requiring a strategic thinker with hands-on management skills and a passion for excellence in hospitality, guest satisfaction, and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management – Oversee and coordinate all departments (Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Entertainment) across both properties.
- Staff Management – Lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring high performance and professional development.
- Operational Excellence – Maintain and improve standards in guest service, safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
- Performance Monitoring – Analyse operational performance, manage budgets, and optimise resources for efficiency and profitability.
- Policy & Compliance – Ensure adherence to company policies, employment regulations, health and safety, and licensing requirements.
- Collaboration – Work closely with owners and department heads to execute strategic plans and deliver exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years in a senior hospitality or tourism management role.
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (essential).
- Proven track record of managing multi-department operations.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Budget management, financial reporting, and operational planning experience.
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
