Carpenters Trading Vanuatu; a business entity under Carpenter Motors Vanuatu Limited, is a quickly growing enterprise selling Fast Moving Consumer Goods in both Port Vila and Santo. We proudly sell imported beverages such as Royal Dutch and Oranjeboom Premium Lagers, Ready To Drink beverages, Bourbon Bluez, Goldstone and XMark Vodka Lime, Crush Soft drinks and Island Chill bottled water from Fiji. We are leaders in each of our business sectors, are customer-led, service-driven, and offer a friendly and collaborative work environment.

We are seeking the right candidate to fill an exciting opportunity as a Merchandiser for our Carpenters Trading Vanuatu section based in Port Vila.

Required Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and with a team.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in retail or merchandising.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service.
• Able to track customer’s inventory levels and make sure clients’ requested stock is presented properly.
• General business knowledge.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in English & Chinese preferred, but not necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure customers’ stores and shelves are stocked with the right types and quantities of products.
• Display, arrange, price and rotate products in stores.
• Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products.
• Make recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data.
• Work and communicate with buyers, suppliers, stores and distributors.
