Maintenance Controller
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Controller (MC) will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance requirements of our aircrafts, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and managing relationships with maintenance contractors. The MC will also ensure the continuing airworthiness of the fleet and handle various administrative and regulatory tasks associated with aircraft maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance Management:
- Oversee maintenance scheduling and execution to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
- Develop and gain approval for airworthiness policies and maintenance programs.
- Manage contracts with Part 145 approved contractors and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Maintain current Technical Logs and technical records.
- Supervise work scheduling, production of work packages, and planning tolerance variations.
- Address and resolve issues with contracted maintenance organizations.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to Airworthiness Directives, modifications, and repairs.
- Report maintenance issues to CAD and relevant authorities.
- Review and update maintenance manuals and implement CAD requirements.
- Maintain accurate Weight and Balance statements and current aircraft configuration.
3. Training and Development:
- Develop and manage training policies and review training needs every two years.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with OEMs, vendors, and regulatory authorities on airworthiness and compliance issues.
5. Procedural Oversight:
- Establish and manage procedures to ensure ongoing airworthiness of aircraft and equipment.
- Ensure maintenance is performed by certified organizations
Qualifications and Experience:
1. For Part 121 Operations:
- Clear knowledge and understanding of maintenance provisions under Part 121.
- Must hold or have held an aircraft maintenance engineer license or equivalent with appropriate ratings.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance of similar size and type as operated by Lulutai Airlines.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position during the 5 years’ experience.
2. For Part 125 Operations:
- Clear knowledge and understanding of maintenance provisions under Part 125.
- Must hold or have held an aircraft maintenance engineer license under Part 66 or an equivalent license with appropriate ratings.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in aircraft maintenance of similar size and type as operated by Lulutai Airlines.
- At least 1 year’s experience certifying aircraft for release-to-service or equivalent experience acceptable to the Director.
Additional Requirements:
- Proven experience in controlling and directing maintenance and ensuring continuing airworthiness.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
