Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Airframe & Engine) - Nausori

The Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Airframe & Engine) reports to the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator and is responsible for performing aircraft maintenance and supervising personnel on the ramp and during hangar maintenance. This role ensures all work is completed in compliance with approved technical data issued by Fiji Airways, the Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji (CAAF), and the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), while accurately completing standard documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Perform aircraft maintenance tasks as directed by the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Supervise LAMEs, AMEs, Tradesmen, and Utility Hands during ramp and hangar maintenance operations.
  • Provide relief servicing in the absence of an Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator, as instructed by the Manager Aircraft Base & Line Maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Maintenance Management and Operational Engineering (MMOE) guidelines, Technical Operating Procedures, and Line/ETOPS Manual.
  • Certify maintenance documentation in line with regulatory standards, including Fiji Airways ANR 145C, MMOE, Technical Operating Procedures, and Line/ETOPS Manual.
  • Uphold disciplined work practices in accordance with Fiji Airways, CAAF, and Aircraft Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards.
  • Execute instructions from the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator within the designated work area.
  • Support Maintenance Control Centre operations as required.
  • Undertake Travelling Ground Engineer duties when assigned.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, employment contracts, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Foster a service-oriented culture aligned with Fiji Airways' Service Vision and Values.
  • Demonstrate initiative, strong communication skills, and the ability to challenge, question, and collaborate within a team.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency in line with Engineering & Maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Aircraft Maintenance Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Successfully completed an Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course with approved Tertiary organization.
  • CAAF License Without Type Rating or recognized AMEL.
  • Successfully completed Approved Aircraft Type Rating Courses and hold valid Type Ratings on Fiji Link fleet ATR42/72-600 and DHC6-400 aircraft type.
  • Five years' work experience in Aircraft Maintenance as a Certifying LAME.
  • Should possess excellent Defect Troubleshooting and Rectification Skills.
  • Proficient with common Microsoft Applications and operational knowledge of an ERP system in an Engineering and Maintenance environment would be an advantage.
