IT Technician
We are looking for a full time, qualified IT Technician for our award winning Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. This is a rostered position working on a cycle of 24 days followed by 8 days off. We have three resorts in the Yasawa Island group so this role may require the successful candidate to spend time circulating between our resorts.
Job Description:
The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting hardware, software ,networking devices/issues and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, honest and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, or in-person.
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the setup and deployment of new systems and applications.
- Document technical procedures and provide training to end-users.
- Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Experience with network administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with various IT support tools and remote support software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, etc.) are a plus.
