CORE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone who is:
- Comfortable with Linux-based systems.
- Experienced in cloud computing infrastructure (e.g. Digital Ocean, Google Cloud)
- Proficient in Node.js and familiar with JavaScript or Python.
- Familiar with CSS, React, and RESTful APIs.
- Comfortable using Docker and GitHub.
- Knowledgeable in PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB.
- Interested in or experienced with machine learning/deep learning.
- Able to research and learn new technologies independently.
- Has valid Driver's License.
Bonus Points For:
- Open-source project contributions.
- Familiarity with Pacific or Samoan tech ecosystpact.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS.
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Demonstrated equivalent experience through hands-on projects, freelance work, or open-source contributions.
DESIRABLE
- 2+ years of relevant experience in system administration full-stack development, or cloud infrastructure.
- Certifications or training in any of the following areas.
- Linux administration.
- Cloud platforms (e.g. Google Cloud, AWS, Digitals Ocean)
- Full-stack development (Node.js React, MongoDB/PostgreSQL)
- Docker and containerization.
- Machine Learning (Coursera, Google AI, etc.)
- Strong portfolio or GitHub showcasing past projects.
- Experience working in Pacific Island or remote environments.
