The Role

The role is responsible for delivering high-quality ICT support and customer service across different campuses, ensuring reliable operation and maintenance of infrastructure, including networks, endpoints, and communication systems.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Provide a high level of customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Conduct regular preventative and corrective maintenance of all ICT infrastructure including end points, network hardware, phone and all other communication equipment.
  • Assist the ICT Manager to ensure ICT services meet staff requirements and work with the local ICT staff or service providers to improve services and correct issues as they arise.
  • Monitoring of backup cycles for Samoa Fiji campus, and other countries as requested.
  • Monitor firewalls, other security applications to ensure that SPAM, other undesirable information, and network intrusions are adequately blocked.
  • Identify and mitigate any critical risks to the business to ensure that Data Integrity is not adversely affected.
  • Collaborating with Regional Head Office (RHO) ICT team to co-share the Helpdesk Management System which includes ticket assignment, escalations, compliance to service level agreements and reporting.
  • Performing server patching and maintenance as required by the RHO ICT Team.

Selection Criteria

Essential Experience And Knowledge

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar ICT role with demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a small and dedicated team.
  • Preferably diploma level qualification or higher in related field or post-secondary qualification and demonstrated experience in related field.
  • Experience working with VMware and Microsoft Active Directory; Veeam backup and replication, ESET, Microsoft Intune, Deep Freeze and an understanding of Fortinet and Meraki technologies.
  • Experience providing Level 1 to Level 2 ICT support in an organization.
  • Experience providing ICT support in remote locations.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgement in the application of existing policies and procedures.
