Hotel Administration Officer

We are currently seeking for passionate and dynamic Hotel Administration Officer who will play a key part of taking the IHG Brand to the next level.

As a Hotel Administration Officer, you will play a critical role in the overall support and management assistance to Area General Manager – IHG PNG and Hotel Manager Holiday Inn Port Moresby precinct. Extension of role will also involve coordination of travel, board packs and administrative projects delegated by the Hotel Manager Holiday Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express Port Moresby or Area General Manager –IHG PNG.

QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree or certificate in relevant field desired
  • 3years experience in similar role
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and organize others
  • Ability to work under pressure, filter information, assess priorities, and have great attention to detail, being able to meet tight deadlines accordingly.
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of core hours when required. Ability to think ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential or sensitive matters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Providing documentation and Reporting Support Assistants managers in preparation of various reports and presentations. Attends, transcribes and distributes minutes and participate in staff meeting, executive committee meetings and department meetings as needed.
  • Make new file, maintain existing files. Maintains giveaway/donation files and assist in making reservations. Produces and distributes correspondences as required. Answers Hotel Manager and AGM phones in absence. Act as a receptionist for manager and when necessary. Sorts and distribute mails. Informs and/ or update the executives and peers on relevant information in a timely manner.
