Position: Hose Fitter
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Hose Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of hydraulic and industrial hoses and fittings used across a range of heavy equipment, machinery, and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit hydraulic hoses, fittings, and related components.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair damaged hydraulic and industrial hose systems.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on hydraulic equipment and machinery.
- Perform hose replacement and emergency breakdown services as required.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inventory usage.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures.
- Assist workshop personnel with mechanical maintenance activities when required.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the workshop and work areas.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Hose Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, Hydraulic Technician, or similar role.
- Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems, fittings, pumps, and associated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current driver's licence.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a workshop and field environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Diesel Mechanics, or a related field.
- Experience working with heavy machinery, construction equipment, or mining equipment.
- Forklift licence and other relevant certifications.
- First Aid Certificate.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: AUD $19,000.00 per annum
- Contract Duration: Three (3) Years
- Accommodation: Provided
- Transportation: Provided
