Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Heavy Duty Semi Truck Driver to transport goods safely and efficiently across designated routings/locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a thorough understanding of transportation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy-duty semi trucks to transport goods to designated locations.
Inspect vehicles before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
Plan routes and meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
Secure cargo properly to prevent damage or loss during transit.
Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff.
Report any incidents, accidents, or mechanical issues promptly.
Comply with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
Qualifications:
Valid Class 4 drivers license with appropriate endorsements.
Proven experience as a heavy-duty truck driver (minimum 2 years preferred).
Clean driving record and strong knowledge of road safety regulations.
Ability to operate GPS and other navigation tools.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads if required.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with long-haul or cross-border transportation.
Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and troubleshooting.
Working Conditions:
Extended periods of driving and sitting.
Exposure to varying weather conditions.
May require overnight travel depending on route assignments
