Jack's of Fiji invites applications from suitably qualified personnel for the position of Head of Category for its PNG & Timor-Leste operations to be based at our Jack's of Fiji Head Office in Nadi. The successful applicant will report to the Procurement Manager.

HEAD OF CATEGORY
(Salary Range: $30,000 - $40,000)
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
• Drives and executes the categories team vision;
Drives the product process and leverages category sourcing strategy to deliver new material and design innovation while meeting gross margin/profitability objectives;
• Nurtures, guides and challenges cross functional departments to ensure product excellence in the market place (Design, fabrics, prices, fits, etc.);
• Analyses and reports category performance,
Drives and implements new supply chain solutions/end to end business models to obtain greater profit and cash flow by channels;
• Be highly customer oriented, approachable with an outgoing and friendly personality,
•Able to manage, motivate and lead a team;
• Have a natural flair and a desire to progress within our retail organization;
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English and possess qualities of a good people manager;
• Leads and develops the marketing and product strategy of assigned category; and
• Set category goals financial and non-financial.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Degree in commerce/management or relevant experience in management role;
•Experience in Brand Management, Apparel Development or Management is desirable;
. Strong business acumen in net sales, profit margins and inventory,
. A thorough understanding of consumer markets, specifically in the fashion, retail and related industry;
• Ability to provide leadership, including ability to manage and mentor a team;
•Ability to work with and influence people at all levels of the organization;
• Group-2 drivers license would be an added advantage; and
• Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
