Agnes Lodge (Established 1985) trading as Agnes Gateway Hotel is looking for a General Manager who will be responsible as the overall overseer of the Company’s Financial and Operational Management. The role to provide support and strength to the Sections head in Operation, Finance and Admin, Sales and Marketing and Hospitality. To ensure both the front and back office of the Hotel is fully functional and working cohesively. The Core responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • To create a vision/mission/goals & objective of the organisation
  • Oversee Strategic Planning Policy direction as per vision/mission goals of the Organisation by developing and implementing annual work plans and programs
  • Review and provide advice on contracts, negotiations or business deals that the company may enter into.
  • Provide strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; specifically relating to the evaluation of potential investments opportunities
  • Ensure that all relevant policies and guidelines are created and applied
  • Liaise with Company Directors/Shareholders on Board or Shareholders matters
  • Identify gaps and correct or recommend to Board for management changes/review
  • As a GM you will lead the organisation, recruit and train/mento/induct senior staff
  • Hit the ball running in implementing annual budgets and work plans
  • Management oversight of the Company Finance, logistics & Investments
  • Ensure Management Reports available monthly and Audited Accounts annually
  • Ensure Company mandatory obligations related to all relevant Taxes due are in compliance to responsible authorities on time
  • To hold annual AGM for Shareholders with all relevant reports and information available
  • To provide secretarial role to the board and carrying board policy and other policies ensuring that the company steer clear of all legal and operational requirement
  • Liaise with all key Stakeholders in the Industry Ministry of Tourism, Tourism Solomon, SICCI, Western Province Tourism and other Hospitality Bodies in the country or the region.
  • Be Entrepreneurial and with venture creation/expansion mind set


Minimum Requirement: Bachelor Degree in one or combination of the following field: Hospitality, Tourism, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, or other business-related field with at least 10 or more years of work experience or a Postgraduate/ MBA with at least 3 or more years of experience in a Hotel Environment or Hospitality Industry or equivalent position in any organisation.
