Seventh Heaven Fiji, a premier floating Bar and Restaurant in the stunning Mamanuca region of Fiji, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Financial Management with proven experience.
Prepare, review, and analyse weekly and monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statements to ensure accurate reporting of revenues, costs, and expenses. Provide detailed variance analysis and offer actionable insights to management for performance improvement. Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports. Lead the preparation and management of the company’s Annual Budget and periodic Forecasts. Monitor budget performance and suggest adjustments as necessary to meet financial goals. Track sales, expenses, and other financial metrics against forecasted numbers and ensure adherence to financial targets. Manage purchasing functions, ensuring that all inventory is
purchased at the best prices and within budget. Work with the management team to ensure that inventory levels are properly monitored and maintained, reducing waste and overstocking. Oversee daily cash handling and bank deposits, ensuring that cash flow is maintained and all transactions are accurately recorded. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment of invoices and collection of payments. Ensure compliance with all applicable financial regulations, tax requirements, and industry standards. Establish and enforce strong internal controls to safeguard the
assets of the company and minimize the risk of financial discrepancies. Work with the senior management team to provide financial insights and strategic advice on business expansion, cost control, pricing strategies and profit maximization. Identify and recommend opportunities for increasing profitability through cost reduction and revenue optimization.
A minimum of 3-5 years of financial management experience, preferably in the Hospitality or Restaurant Industry. Proven experience in Financial Management . Strong knowledge of financial software and accounting systems. Experience with Xero, Swiftpos or other accounting software preferred. Experience with inventory control, purchasing, and cost management in a food and beverage environment. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (advanced skills
preferred). Knowledge of tax regulations, payroll processing, and labour laws relevant to the hospitality industry. A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
