Job Summary:

The Food & Beverage Cashier is responsible for accurately processing guest transactions, providing exceptional customer service, and supporting the overall operations of the Food and Beverage department. This role includes handling cash, credit, and digital payments, maintaining a clean and organized cashier station, and assisting with other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process guest orders and payments accurately using the POS system.
• Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods securely and in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure correct prices and discounts are applied during transactions.
• Greet and interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Address guest inquiries and provide information about menu items, pricing, and special promotions.
• Resolve any billing issues or guest concerns promptly and courteously.
• Reconcile cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies.
• Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to management as required.
• Follow cash handling and deposit procedures to ensure security and accuracy.
• Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Communicate order details effectively and ensure that any guest requests are handled efficiently.
• Support the team during busy periods by helping with seating arrangements, clearing tables, or other tasks as needed.
• Monitor and report low stock levels of cashier-related items (e.g., receipt paper, promotional materials).
• Assist with ordering supplies and maintaining an organized cashier area.
• Follow health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards at the cashier station.
• Adhere to company policies regarding food safety, hygiene, and uniform standards.

What we need from you

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a cashier or in customer service role is preferred
• Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong cash – handling /communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in operating a POS system and handling credit transactions.
• Ability to handle multiple orders and work under pressure.
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions
• Professional, presentable appearance and adherence to uniform standards.
