Engineering Manager

Function:

Manage the design, construction, installation and commissioning of Company plant and distribution facilities to ensure the Company’s facilities are sufficiently operational to carry out the Company’s business objectives.

Provide technical advice and ensure that engineering designs are per acceptable industries code and standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage Design Engineers, Project Engineers and Electrical and Instrument Engineers. Provide subordinates technical advice, direction and guidance on company approved projects.
  2. Ensure projects are well managed and completed on time, on budget and to specified standards.
  3. Review/approve design drawings, calculation and schedules.
  4. Plan, co-ordinate and complete engineering CAPEX projects including project safety reviews, as required.
  5. Working closely with the management team to develop and execute strategies aimed at improving company’s KPI's.
  6. Evaluate and recommend training needs of citizen Design/Project Engineers. Coach and develop individuals to achieve full performance and realize their potential in their role.
  7. Comply with company requirements and systems relating to SAPS, HSEC & Quality and other company policies.
  8. Any other activities as directed by this positions line management.

Experience:

  • An Engineering Degree or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience in the midstream and downstream petroleum industry
  • Minimum of ten (10) years relevant work experience in the petroleum industry, with a minimum of three years in a supervisory position
  • Extensive experience in capital project management especially in Oil and Gas business.
  • IEPNG Registered (Mandatory)
