Feasibility Study for a Potential Vanuatu-Japan Bilateral Trade Agreement

The Department of External Trade (DET) in collaboration with the Vanuatu Aid for Trade Management Unit (VAMU) wishes to recruit a qualified consultant, responsible for conducting a study on the feasibility of Vanuatu entering into a Bilateral Trade Agreement with Japan.

OBJECTIVE
The Objectives of the feasibility study is to provide;

1. An overarching understanding of the economic opportunities of the bilateral trade agreement between Japan and Vanuatu, which then provide guidance to the government on the basis for decision making; and
2. Allow Vanuatu to make informed decisions about the opportunities, market access entry, identify potential export products, assess potential challenges, competitiveness and develop recommendations to support the government position.
