Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will manage multiple crews, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, handle procurement, monitor project progress, and control costs while maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Crew Management:
- Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring schedules and milestones are met.
- Supervise and direct multiple construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with project plans and safety standards.
Procurement & Supplier Coordination:
- Manage procurement processes, including material sourcing, purchasing, and delivery schedules.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure cost-effective and high-quality materials/services.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and resolve any supply chain issues.
Quality & Safety Control:
- Enforce strict quality control measures to ensure work meets design specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety compliance, and workmanship.
- Implement corrective actions when deviations from plans or quality standards occur.
Budget & Cost Management:
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and control costs to avoid overruns.
- Review and approve invoices, change orders, and contractor payments.
- Provide regular financial reports to senior management on project expenditures.
Progress Reporting & Communication:
- Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, permits, and regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in construction management, with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and crews..
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to visit job sites, inspect work, and work in various weather conditions.
