The Cluster Marketing Executive - Venues will spearhead all marketing initiatives for the venues at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Grand Pacific Hotel Suva, and Holiday Inn Suva. This role involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for restaurants, bars, spas, golf courses, and other facilities to drive foot traffic, generate revenue, increase on-site conversion, and ensure repeat business. The role supports the Marketing Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing in running venue meetings with stakeholders and is accountable for achieving positive Guest Social Scores (GSI) and overall Food and Beverage experience
A little taste of your day to day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Develop and execute ongoing marketing programs targeting locals, tourists, and convention businesses to promote the venues (restaurants, bars, spas, golf courses, and other facilities) as premier destinations in Fiji.
- Implement venue-related marketing strategies for various venues, including digital marketing planning, brand campaigns, and tactics across social media, digital platforms, and creative design.
- Create and manage comprehensive venue PR and marketing plans, both short-term and long-term, to increase revenue, generate foot traffic, and build awareness.
- Plan and implement promotional campaigns to build awareness and drive visitation to the venues.
- Develop and manage CRM (Shiji Concept, Tapendium, OpenTable etc.) and email database campaigns to increase visitation and ensure repeat business.
- Work closely with the events, operations, activations, and retail teams to ensure alignment of programming and sales goals.
- Collaborate with venue leaders and business development teams to create marketing partnerships and promotions with suppliers, company business units, and complementary brands to drive revenue and access new audiences.
- Oversee all venue digital marketing touchpoints and campaigns, including paid social, email, and traditional out-of-home media campaigns to maximize ROI.
- Develop on-site venue marketing and communications programs to maximize in-building conversion.
- Work with the Cluster Marketing Manager to build and maintain a strong and engaged influencer program to increase brand awareness and create user-generated content.
- Plan and execute content strategy for all digital channels, ensuring a consistent and engaging presence for venues.
- Manage all social media strategies to grow both organic and paid social media channels, including content curation and community engagement.
- Conceptualize and design venue marketing collaterals such as brochures, flyers, banners, and digital assets to support marketing campaigns and promotions.
- Ensure all design work is consistent with brand guidelines and enhances the overall brand image.
- Support in managing external agencies – PR, digital and email marketing, SEO, search, content creation, and creative campaigns.
- Oversee reputation and citation management on platforms like Google and TripAdvisor.
- Measure the performance of all marketing programs and communicate results to management through a Monthly Marketing Report (MMR).
- Stay abreast of current trends and events in marketing, social technologies, new media, and relevant industries.
- Support and drive venue meetings with stakeholders.
- Focus on showcasing Food and Beverage promotions to hotel guests and local patrons.
- Build direct marketing plans, targeted campaigns, and activated channels to drive consumer awareness, increase market share, and build brand awareness.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, both internal and external, to ensure successful campaign executions, including with printers, signage companies, etc.
What we need from you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2+ years of experience in a marketing environment. Hotel industry experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Marketing, or any related field preferred.
- Experience in managing integrated marketing communications, with knowledge of hospitality operations and basic design skills. Canva experience preferred.
- Understanding of brand identity, marketing strategies and able to execute.
- Effective and persuasive verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish good relationships with multiple stakeholders in the business.
- Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning, and executing projects from conception through to implementation.
