Pepper Advantage Hub (Fiji) is seeking for a Business Intelligence Developer and Analyst. The role is to define, design, generate, analyse, and present MI and Dashboard information for all PIR Residential Functions. With this role you must make solid recommendations based on analysis and provide explanations. You must be self-directed and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues.

As a key resource to the Operations Team, you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to build dashboards to improve business performance using tools such as SSRS, SQL, SAS, Excel, Tableau, Snowflake, among other.
  • Responsible for delivering the suite of Residential operations reports and dashboards
  • Interact with internal customers to effectively design, build, implement, operationalise and document reporting that accurately captures operations business requirements.
  • Manage implementation of reporting enhancements and changes.
  • Communicate with various functional areas in Residential Operations and translate technical concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences, both verbally and in writing.
  • Provide robust, reliable business reporting and analysis in an understandable and user-friendly format.
  • Validate data and conduct thorough data analysis to identify and communicate to Business Leader opportunities, threats, and best practice to drive continuous performance improvement.
  • Continuous improvement and streamlining of MI and Reporting activities whilst ensuring a strong governance and control framework is maintained - ensure alignment of core infrastructure and governance framework.
  • Support and contribute towards system enhancements to support improvements in operational processes and improved transparency and reporting of activity.
  • Gather and collate information as required to complete monthly reporting.
  • Understand and be able to explain clearly how data is created, its relevance and significance as well as an assessment of data to produce findings/recommendations.
  • Ad hoc projects as they arise

Skills and experience required:

  • Candidate needs to be flexible in terms of working hours (Ideally from 8 pm to 5.30 am FJT).
  • Strong SQL and/or SAS experience, including experience with various database technologies (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience of working in an operational environment, with a demonstrated understanding of how the data is used by stakeholders and how it can inform decision making.
  • Minimum 3 years MS-SQL, Tableau and SSRS experience.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, database structures and design, systems design, and data management.
  • Ability to take initiative and work proactively with operations teams and where needed clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, influence, collaboration and listening skills.
