KEY OUTCOMES:
- Study architectural drawings, machining detail drawings and specifications to determine job requirements and fabrication & installation procedures.
- Select, clean and prepare the aluminum as required for the job. You will need a good understanding of various sheet metal types and their suitability for their end use.
- Knowledge in screws, bolts, and fixings in general are best used so that you can join the aluminum and other metal sections using appropriate bolting/riveting methods.
- Manufacture/assemble/install product in line with standard procedures.
- Priorities: endeavoring always to meet production targets set to minimize penalties for contract delays.
- Inspect product as completed to maintain accuracy and quality control and ensure no sub-standard work is passed to the next Department. Complete any appropriate QA-QC forms.
- Ensure work areas are kept tidy and clear of debris in accordance with OHS good housekeeping practice. . Foster good team spirit and communication with all staff.
- Should poses the ability to conduct actual site measurements and troubleshoot procedures of installation.
MUST HAVE:
- Trade certificate in joinery.
- 4 years of experience in construction & manufacturing industry. Fresh graduates or candidates seeking industrial attachment are also encouraged to apply.
- Aware of workplace health and safety regulations.
- Have the drive, energy and personality to work as part of a team.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and on shift basis.
- Driving license group 2 or 6.
