We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person(s) for the position of Accountant to be based in our Regional Market Entities.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

The successful incumbent will assume responsibility for day-to-day financial accounting and reporting including preparing accounts, budgets, audits, capital expenditure process and managing financial information and inventory for the business. Other responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Preparation, completion and analytical review of monthly financial reporting
  • Ensure accounting and management systems accurately and efficiently capture and report the financial affairs of the Company
  • Provide timely and accurate statutory and management reporting including Budgeting and forecasting and Debtors and cash flow Management
  • Manage debtors and creditors ledger and carry out journal entries and month end close work.
  • Supply chain and inventory management
  • Ensure GSRN is raised once stock received and maintenance of respective filing records
  • Ensure compliance with all local statutory and regulatory laws
  • Develop, monitor and analyze key activities, business processes, business risks and project costings to identify opportunities and threats for Management decision making.
  • Assist business in ensuring the administration and enhancement of internal control procedures to protect the Company’s assets.
  • Mentor, coach and manage your direct reports as well as other members of the wider team.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum 4 years of finance experience as an Accountant or in a similar capacity with working knowledge of statutory regulations and financial reporting requirements.
  • A commitment to strong business ethics and personal integrity
  • Proven knowledge of accounts receivable and payable, supply chain, cost accounting, payroll and budgeting.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements and general ledger
  • Strong attention to detail and good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
