Accessibility and DEI Coordinator

Do you have the skills and expertise required by Fiji Airways for the position of Accessibility and DEI Coordinator?

In support of this goal, the Accessibility and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Coordinator will play a crucial role in fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for employees, customers and members of the public.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities will include, but is not limited to:

  • Assisting employees and customers with reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with Fiji Airways Group policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with global accessibility and DEI rules for Fiji Airways Group, including those published by the US Department of Transportation and the Canadian Transportation Agency.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to implement accessibility initiatives across the Fiji Airways Group business.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of accessibility and DEI programs and initiatives.
  • Collecting and analysing data related to accessibility and DEI efforts to inform decision-making.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for senior management on the progress and impact of accessibility and DEI initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

      To be considered successful for this role, you will need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in a field such as education, human resources, social sciences, gender/diversity studies, or similar.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of accessibility and DEI best practices and standards
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accessibility or a DEI-related role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective writing and editing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with relevant legislation and regulations related to accessibility and DEI.
  • Communication skills sufficient to work effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful accessibility and DEI programs and initiatives.
  • Experience creating accessible Word, PDF, Excel, and PowerPoint documents is desirable.
