Coconut Beach Resort, located in the beautiful Yasawa Islands of Fiji, is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrician / Maintenance Technician to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, takes pride in their work and is comfortable working in a unique remote island resort environment.
THE ROLE
You will be responsible for ensuring our resort's electrical, air-conditioning and essential equipment are maintained safely, reliably and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical installation, repairs, fault-finding and general maintenance
- Preventative maintenance of electrical systems and resort equipment
- Servicing, repair and preventative maintenance of air-conditioning systems
- Troubleshooting electrical and air-conditioning faults and responding promptly to breakdowns
- Maintenance and servicing of generators, pumps and other resort equipment
- Carrying out scheduled maintenance and inspections
- Assisting with general resort maintenance when required
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and reporting issues to management
- Working closely with the resort team to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable and well-maintained environment
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for someone who is:
- Qualified and experienced as an electrician
- Experienced with air-conditioning servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Practical, reliable and able to work independently
- A confident problem solver with strong fault-finding skills
- Well organised and able to follow preventative maintenance schedules
- Comfortable working in a remote island environment
- A positive and enthusiastic team player
- Safety-conscious and committed to maintaining high standards
- Flexible and willing to assist with general maintenance when required
- Resort, hotel or island experience will be highly regarded
Experience with generators, pumps, refrigeration or other mechanical equipment would be an advantage.
