Nestled within a pristine private island sanctuary in Fiji, Wakaya Private Island Resort offers an unparalleled luxury experience. We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Storeman to oversee all resort inventory, receiving, storage, and distribution operations while maintaining the highest standards of accountability and efficiency. The role focuses on inventory management, receiving and issuing procedures, stock control.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of the resort stores and receiving department.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate stock records are maintained.
- Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of stock (FIFO principles).
- Conduct regular stock counts, inventory audits, and reconciliations.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and coordinate replenishment requirements.
- Supervise and train store personnel to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure all stock issues and transfers are properly authorized and documented.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of all storage areas.
- Prepare inventory, receiving, and consumption reports for management.
- Work closely with department heads to forecast stock requirements.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Certificate in Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse, stores, or inventory supervisory role, preferably within hospitality or resort operations.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control systems and stock management procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
