About the Role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, governing, and embedding enterprise-wide finance data and finance systems capability across the Group. The role ensures that system-driven accounting outcomes, finance data, and integrations across all platforms are accurate, controlled, and fit-for-purpose to support statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.

Reporting to the Group Head of Finance Data & Systems (FD&S), the role provides strategic and operational leadership over finance transformation and stabilisation initiatives and finance data governance. The role is accountable for maintaining business-as-usual stability while delivering concurrent change, safeguarding financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and executive confidence in financial information.

Key Deliverables:

  • Establish and lead the Finance Data & Systems operating model, ensuring strong governance over finance systems, data, and system-driven accounting outcomes across BSP.
  • Own enterprise accountability for finance data integrity, accounting logic, posting rules, and system configurations across core banking, ERP, payroll, digital, and supporting platforms.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of finance remediation and transformation initiatives, from requirements definition through testing, release, and post-implementation stabilisation.
  • Ensure stable BAU operations, including oversight of daily interfaces, reconciliations, issue prioritisation, and controlled change management.
  • Define, implement, and enforce finance data governance standards, ownership, and controls to support consistent and trusted reporting.
  • Act as the primary finance liaison for all technology, digital, and data initiatives impacting financial reporting and accounting outcomes.
  • Provide executive-level assurance over UAT sign-off, accounting configuration, and finance-impacting system changes.
  • Lead audit and regulatory readiness for finance systems, including documentation, evidence provision, and control traceability.
  • Build internal finance-technology capability and reduce reliance on external consultants through knowledge transfer and sustainable operating practices.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline
  • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred
  • Minimum 10 – 12 years’ experience in finance, finance systems, data, or transformation roles within banking or regulated financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide finance systems or data functions.
  • Strong understanding of core banking platforms, ERP systems, and system-driven accounting.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, IT, Digital, Data, and Risk.
  • Experience establishing governance frameworks, controls, and operating models.
  • Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capability.
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and control assurance in a banking environment.
  • People leadership experience with a focus on capability uplift and delivery assurance.
