The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, governing, and embedding enterprise-wide finance data and finance systems capability across the Group. The role ensures that system-driven accounting outcomes, finance data, and integrations across all platforms are accurate, controlled, and fit-for-purpose to support statutory, regulatory, and management reporting.
Reporting to the Group Head of Finance Data & Systems (FD&S), the role provides strategic and operational leadership over finance transformation and stabilisation initiatives and finance data governance. The role is accountable for maintaining business-as-usual stability while delivering concurrent change, safeguarding financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and executive confidence in financial information.
Key Deliverables:
Establish and lead the Finance Data & Systems operating model, ensuring strong governance over finance systems, data, and system-driven accounting outcomes across BSP.
Own enterprise accountability for finance data integrity, accounting logic, posting rules, and system configurations across core banking, ERP, payroll, digital, and supporting platforms.
Lead end-to-end delivery of finance remediation and transformation initiatives, from requirements definition through testing, release, and post-implementation stabilisation.
Ensure stable BAU operations, including oversight of daily interfaces, reconciliations, issue prioritisation, and controlled change management.
Define, implement, and enforce finance data governance standards, ownership, and controls to support consistent and trusted reporting.
Act as the primary finance liaison for all technology, digital, and data initiatives impacting financial reporting and accounting outcomes.
Provide executive-level assurance over UAT sign-off, accounting configuration, and finance-impacting system changes.
Lead audit and regulatory readiness for finance systems, including documentation, evidence provision, and control traceability.
Build internal finance-technology capability and reduce reliance on external consultants through knowledge transfer and sustainable operating practices.
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline
Professional accounting qualification (CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred
Minimum 10 – 12 years’ experience in finance, finance systems, data, or transformation roles within banking or regulated financial services.
Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-wide finance systems or data functions.
Strong understanding of core banking platforms, ERP systems, and system-driven accounting.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving Finance, IT, Digital, Data, and Risk.
Experience establishing governance frameworks, controls, and operating models.
Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making capability.
Experience supporting audits, regulatory reviews, and control assurance in a banking environment.
People leadership experience with a focus on capability uplift and delivery assurance.
