TWL Trucking Division is part of the TWL Group and is a Transport/Trucking Company in PNG with its Head Office in Lae and Operations bases at Mt. Hagen, Moro, Tari, & Port Moresby.  The Company operates fleet of trucks to haul project loads off the wharf in Lae, Morobe Province to the Oil & Gas Project Sites in Hides (Hela) and Moro (Southern Highlands) plus other locations along the Highlands Highway & within the Port Moresby area. TWL Trucking also provides MHEs and In-Field Logistical Support at the SANTOS and the EMPNG LNG Project sites.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the Tradesman (truck) and Trades Assistant (TA) positions

3x TRADESMAN MECHANICS

3X TRADES ASSISTANT MECHANICS

2X AUTO ELECTRICAL TRADESMAN /OR TRADE ASSISTANT

2X WELDERS/FABRICATORS

KEY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Carry out mechanical repairs on all machinery/equipment as assigned.
• Trouble shooting/diagnostics, electronic fault-finding, hydraulic, auto-electric or mechanical issues.
• Computer literate for laptop diagnostic programs on new fleets.
• Taking responsibility in every aspect of repairing equipment/machinery and ensure job is done professionally & skilfully.
• Correctly rebuild engines, gear box and diff as required.
• Attend to minor/major mechanical repair and trip checks.
• Attend to service calls after hours.
• Assist/support Workshop Manager/Foreman as a leading hand to coordinate duties to other mechanics.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Must possess a NATTB trade certificate/qualification related to the role.
• Must have the ability to read and interpret information from service manuals.
• Must have sound practical experience in the tasks mentioned.
• Outstanding communication skills to communicate clearly and precisely to everyone at all levels.
• Assertive and persevere to get results.
• A safety minded individual who makes decision and leads upfront.
• A good team leader, player and a self-starter.
• Willing to travel to other operations sites as required.
• Able to adapt to changing environment of working with different levels of people and cultures.
• Able to work with little or no supervision at all with attention to detail.
