Summary:
This position within the company is responsible for overseeing Security Operations and ensuring the safety of its people and property. The position holder is responsible for managing appropriate security systems and processes to minimize security risks relating to the company and its assets.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct investigations into breaches of security and provide recommendations for improvements
- Oversee & monitor Security Operations within designated areas
- Foster a conducive working relationship with other departments, clients, law enforcement agencies and the general public
- In the absence of a legal rep to maintain communications with RPNGC for follow up on incidents, especially relating to traffic.
- Monitor all pending court & legal related matters to update Senior Management on progress and outcomes in a timely manner.
- Conduct Security briefings and identify threats to ensure company and its assets are safe
- Effectively Monitor and enforce Security Policies and Procedures
- Document physical security activities and incidents with reports to Senior Management
- Supervise train and monitor internal security personnel for all sites
- Coordinate & Manage contractor security personnel engaged on company premises.
- Overall Management of day-to-day security operations of the business.
- Compile Monthly Security Operation Report for Management at the end of each month.
Requirements And Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or above tertiary qualification.
- No Criminal Record.
- Preferably someone who has experience in Security Supervision/Management or holds/held a Senior role/rank within
- Royal PNG Constabulary
- Experience and understanding of PNG Motor traffic Regulations/Laws and/or Prosecution Procedure is a bonus
- Excellent track record of Outstanding Performance and Leadership
- Familiar with the Highlands Highway
- A willingness to be flexible to work after hours and at odd hours.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with PPC, PSCs and other security networks along the Highlands
- Highway and TWL operation bases.
- Must be familiar with PPC’s, PSC’s and Traffic Police/Highway Patrols within the Highlands Provinces we operate
