We currently have an immediate vacancy for a Procurement Officer who is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to support Goodman Fielder PNG’s operations. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and timely delivery to meet production and business needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Procurement & Sourcing
  • Source raw materials, packaging, PPE, and services in line with company requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  • Maintain supplier relationships and evaluate vendor performance.
• Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and maintain accurate records in ERP systems.
  • Support audits and reporting requirements.
• Logistics & Coordination
  • Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams.
  • Resolve supply issues and escalate risks promptly.
• Analysis & Reporting
  • Track procurement KPIs (cost savings, lead times, supplier performance).
  • Provide regular reports to management on procurement activities and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.

To be considered for the role, you will need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain (FMCG or manufacturing preferred)however, Fresh Graduates are encourage to apply
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of procurement systems, ERP software, and MS Office.
• Understanding of PNG import/export regulations and local supplier market is an advantage.
