P&O Maritime Services PNG is recruiting for a committed and energetic Payroll Officer to process 250 + sea staff and office staff fortnightly payroll.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
4+ years’ experience as a payroll officer in one of these industries that operates 24/7:
Shipping, Mining, Oil & Gas or Construction
Exceptional attention to detail
Thorough understanding and application of PNG Tax laws
Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent knowledge and experience using payroll software and all Microsoft Office products (Excel spreadsheets, Word and Outlook,)
Strong planning skills and the ability to organise and prioritise own work
Experience in managing Salary Sacrifice Programs
Experience raising purchase orders
Ability to work under tight time pressures to deliver reports and payroll on time every time
A positive attitude and attendance record
Payroll or Accounting qualification
Ability to work closely with crewing/rostering team and interface system
Practical knowledge of the Chris21/iChris payroll system would be an added Bonus
