Oceania Gas Limited is a leading distributor of LPG, industrial gases, safety and welding products in Samoa. We have an excellent career development opportunity for a proactive individual to join our team as the Finance & Administration Manager, reporting to the Financial Controller. This role is responsible for overseeing the full accounting function, delivering accurate and timely performance reports and financial statements and maintaining a robust control environment within the company.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Financial Reporting – Prepare, analyze and report financial statements ensuring adherence to IFRS.
- Budgeting & Forecasting – Manage the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Financial Analysis – Conduct detailed financial analyses to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement.
- Control Environment & Compliance – Maintain a strong control environment by ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, company standard operating procedures and accounting standards.
- Reconciliations – Ensure all daily and monthly general ledger reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
- Cash Flow & Credit Management – Monitor and manage cash flow, oversee the credit function, prepare cash flow forecasts and optimize working capital of the company.
- Audits – Coordinate and manage both internal and external audit processes.
- Systems Accuracy – Ensure accuracy and integrity of all transactions processed in SAP and other asset management systems.
- Other Duties – Perform any other tasks, reports assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.
Preferred Qualifications, Attributes & Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce.
- Experience in SAP or similar ERP system is essential.
- Minimum 5 Years proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Full membership in a professionally recognized accounting body (CA / CIMA / ACCA / CPA).
