The position will be based at the Energy Fiji Limited’s Navutu Depot and will report to the Manager Land Affairs.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the survey team in field line surveys; control surveys;

- Identify EFL surveyed boundaries; assist with topographic and cadastral surveys;

- Schedule and prioritize field survey activities to ensure deadlines are met;
-
- Process data and make calculations gathered from field work and surveys;
-
- Record results of survey and prepare survey plots in a timely manner;
-
- Research legal documents, survey records and land titles to clarify information about property boundaries;
-
- Monitor and update progress of survey works carried out by EFL’s survey service providers for EFL’s land title surveys;
-
- Prepare regular and special reports as when required;

- Responsible for the time keeping and practical training of personnel under his control;

- Responsible for upkeep and correct use of survey equipment, material and spares;

- Drive company vehicle and be responsible for its proper utilization and upkeep;

- Maintain the Occupational Health and Safety requirements of both EFL and Fiji’s Legislation;

- Other relevant duties as directed.
Key Competency Requirements:

- Knowledge of surveying methods
-
- Ability to interpret drawings, plans and maps
-
- Knowledge of how to use new and current surveying technologies and equipment,
-
- Skill using surveying and computer-aided design (CAD) software
-
- Good mathematical knowledge, particularly in trigonometry

- Understanding of the laws and legislation relating to land use and surveying.
Key Requirements:

- The candidate must have a Diploma in Land Surveying or Tertiary qualification in the surveying profession with at least five (5) years of experience in the surveying field.

- Possess a valid (not provisional) manual driver’s license.
