Kokomo Resort Pte Limited is seeking an experienced and motivated ACCOUNTANT, with Hospitality Accounting experience, to be based at the Finance Office, Kokomo Hanger, Nadi.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Audit and Check Reports, but not limited to Revenues, Payables, Receivables & Payroll.
2. Accurate Preparation of various Bank Reconciliations and Petty Cash transactions.
3. Assist in the preparation of Statutory Returns-VAT, FBT, PAYE and IT Returns.
4. Assist in the Lodgement of VAT, FBT, PAYE returns on TPOS Portal, on a periodic basis.
5. Review coding of transactions to the correct GL Accounts and Cost centres.
6. Be the custodian of General Ledger-post Journals, complete General Ledger and Balance Sheet Reconciliations, on a monthly basis.
7. Month End: Liaise with Resort Operational departments to seek inputs for the month-end process, analyse, prepare journal entries and postings in the General Ledger.
8. Assist with preparing Preliminary Monthly P&L Reports, with comparison to Budgets and Prior Year, with relevant commentary and critiques.
9. Assist and prepare documents, files and analysis, relating to Annual External Audits.
10. Assist with ad-hoc Projects Analysis, as and when required.
11. Assist with the Annual Operating Budgets and CAPEX Budgets, for all group entities.
12. Any other tasks, as delegated by the Senior Accountant/Finance Manager.
Qualifications & Attributes: Our ideal candidate will have the following:
· Degree or Higher Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
· Minimum 3 years Hospitality Accounting Experience (Preferable and highly regarded).
· Knowledge of SUN Systems/Opera PMS/PayGlobal/Inventory Management (Preferable)
· Proficient in PC Applications-MS Office (Excel-Intermediate/Advanced level skills)
· Strong Analytical and numerical skills, with high attention to accuracy and detail.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal and business partnering skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of the Finance team (Excellent Team player).
· Flexible to work on weekends and extended hours, based on business needs.
· Strong experience in dealing with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels.
· Commitment to delivering on deadlines, as per business deeds.
· Highly motivated with a Can-Do approach.
· Demonstrate ability for representing our Luxury Kokomo Brand.
