Kokomo Private Island, Fiji’s premier luxury Island Resort is seeking an experienced & qualified Demi Chef to join our dynamic team, based in Yaukuve Island, Kadavu.

Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of the Demi Chef are not limited to:
- Have an active involvement in food production and service, restaurant service or functions, always ensuring awareness of food costs and wastage.
- Control and direct the food presentation process and any other relative activities of our main restaurant, production kitchen and staff kitchen.
- Inspection “polishing” & approve all dishes before leaving the kitchens
- Maintain and drive our food products preparation ensuring our cuisine is of a consistent five-star quality.
Your experience:
- Previous experience as a Demi Chef in a 5 or 4 Star Resort.
- Passionate about consistently preparing, cooking quality creative cuisine daily under pressure.
- Willing to learn and challenged.
- Good interpersonal skills and willing to go the extra mile for our guest experience!
Requirements:
- Have a valid driver’s license.
- Proven experience, multi outlet experience an advantage.
- Related certificates in commercial cookery from recognised institute.
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes.
- Ability in dividing responsibilities quality control and monitoring cuisine standards at all times.
- Fire Warden, First Aid/CPR & OHS Certification is desirable.
