What is the job?
We’re searching for a new Shift Engineer/Supervisor to join our amazing team at Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa.As the Shift Engineer/Supervisor, you will lead an experienced team to ensure seamless delivery of critical facility services such as running water and reliable power.
A little taste of your day-to-day:
Every day is different, but you'll mostly:
- Oversee the engineering/maintenance operations of the hotel to ensure the safety & comfort of hotel guests and colleagues, and to ensure compliance with all brand and local regulatory inspection requirements.
- Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work of the Hotel premises, including any new additions/extensions to the Hotel.
- Advises improvements to the present system in order to optimize the operating efficiency and economy of the said system.
- Provide special expertise for all repair and maintenance of various engineering equipment, plants, and systems.
- Prepare spare parts lists for engineering requirements.
- Prepares detail annual maintenance plan and periodic maintenance requirements for each respective item of those.
- Lead, train, and motivate the Maintenance team to deliver exceptional results.
- Coordinate the work of contractors, consultants, and in-house technicians.
- Troubleshoot and respond to maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
- Monitor and manage maintenance budgets and spare parts inventory.
- Support sustainability initiatives and energy-efficiency programs.
- Maintain all plant equipment and oversee service contracts.
What we need from you:
- Trade certificate in Electrical and/or HVAC experience.
- On top of building equipment and hand tools, you will have a working knowledge of domestic and industrial plant and equipment.
- Communication skills – All areas of the hotel will need to come to you for assistance.
- Flexibility – Work hours may alter depending on Resort Requirements.
- 3–5 years of leadership experience in a maintenance or facilities role.
- A passion for problem-solving and leading by example.
