We are looking for an experienced resort general manager who will be responsible for the resort's overall
operations. The candidate must be committed to and able to lead and motivate our team to deliver
exceptional guest experiences. Developing the skills and capacity of our talented local staff is an essential
part of the role.
Job Description:
Tasks and responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to the following:
- Promotion and development of sustainable practices
- Oversee and be responsible for all company assets
- Lead, mentor and manage all resort teams positively and constructively.
- Development of staff training plans and in-house training systems
- Revenue and expenditure management.
- Budgeting
- Negotiating contracts with suppliers and contractors
- Capital Expenditure recommendations and budgeting
- Ensure there is a culture of positive guest service and interactions throughout the operation
- Deal promptly and positively with guest complaints
- Manage daily communication and linkages between departments.
- Maintain a professional and neat appearance.
- Lead by example (thought leadership)
- Compliance, local Government, and International
- Risk mitigation measures, including staff and guest welfare and safety
- Develop SOPs
- Manage the resort plantation areas and grounds
- Other tasks & responsibilities applicable to the operation of The Havannah Vanuatu to the standards required.
- Demonstrate strong food and beverage, rooms division & front office expertise to create a culture of understated excellence.
- As a key player, you will be self-motivated and able to lead and motivate the entire resort team.
Selection Criteria:
Proven record of 5+ years of previous General management experience in 5-star luxury establishments.
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management.
