The Accountant is responsible for the day to day running of the finance and administrative functions for SkyEye and possibly its regional offices. This role is pivotal in ensuring the finance processes and controls, documents, reconciliations and other finance functions are robust and in order. This position reports to the Senior Accountant and Financial Consultant.
- Ensure proper controls are in place for the day to day finance functions of Skyeye.
- Manage the payroll function, ensuring accurate time sheets are submitted, calculated and appropriate and timely statutory submissions are made to the relevant authorities.
- Administer company payments together with proper documentation.
- Perform Daily reconciliations for Maua Cash Collections and clear issues.
- Weekly reconciliations of MTala and MyCash Agent accounts.
- Other monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with regular debtor follow ups.
- Ensure supplier payments and reconciliations are maintained.
- Ensure proper supporting documents are kept for auditing purpose.
- Other SkyEye projects duties as assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in accounting or similar.
- Previous working experience would be ideal.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Sound Microsoft Office Excel skills.
- Experience of using Financial Systems such as Xero, MYOB or equivalent.
- Good communications skills.
- Proven ability to follow processes with strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized and work well with others.
