ACCOUNTANT 

About Us:
Newman Pte Limited, a subsidiary of the CJ Patel Group, is the largest electronic payments processor of prepaid mobile airtime top-up services in Fiji. The company plays a vital role in sales and distribution of prepaid mobile services, specializing in electronic recharge, transaction processing, and other pre-payment services across the country. We are seeking a strategic and experienced Accountant to manage Newman’s financial records, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic financial insights to support our company's growth. The position is based in Walu Bay, Suva.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger activities.
• Provide timely and accurate statutory and management reporting, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Monitor and manage company cash flows and ensure accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and internal controls.
• Support cost accounting and inventory-related accounting functions.
• Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is desirable.
• Proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in a high-volume transaction-based environment.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting and inventory accounting.
• Experience in preparing budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to work under pressure.
